POSITION IN CHRISC: Volunteer (First Aider)
My name is Danson Kituri, I live in Voi District at Mwakingali Village. I am proud to be one of the five members of my family which comprises of three brothers and our lovely single mother.
I did my primary education at Voi primary school which I completed in 2009. I was astonished to pursue my primary education without any bad comments from day teachers and I was not able to continue with my secondary education due to funds which my mum could not raise following the problems surrounding us. I joined CHRISC in 2008 through playing in our zonal CHRISC team. The same year I was lucky to be among the member team which represented our district in East Africa cup under 16 2008, whereby I was 13years old as the youngest player in our team. In 2009 I was selected as a player again and in 2010 I was appointed as the First Aider where I was the youngest.

I attended three trainings since I join CHRISC; basic coaching which made me to raise u-14 and U-16 Boys teams and U-13 Girls at Mwankigali village within Kariakor Zone. First Aid level one triggered my potential and was really motivated as the youngest Chrisc Kenya leader when I was appointed to the First Aider member team for East Africa cup 2010
Since I joined CHRISC, I’ve learned to make good leader s after attending Peer leader training and learn to make friendship after gaining knowledge from the CHRISC BERGEN team; leadership, problem solving and team building.

CHRISC has contributed much by improving and developing lives of youths as individual and the entire community. I have learned a lot and acquired many skills widely regarding sports management and youth developments in the community, which are among the areas where I have done well. CHRISC has helped to improve more than its name; without biasness of religion, education level and family back ground.
Areas need improvements are more coaching courses and equipments for coaches i.e. truck suits for training and need support of going to study O level. I pray God to give me ability, discipline, love and respect to other people which I believe it will lead to my success in life.

To other youths; remember one man meat is another man poison. Many like what am doing, improve the negative ideas and focus on the things that are helping your life.
Remember God is on our side and keep praying without giving up.
May God bless the entire CHRISC family!
