Background Information  

CHRISC Kenya was established in 2003 as a self help organization, in the context of providing opportunities for sports and play for the underprivileged and idle youth in Kenya; the initiative was cooperation between KRIK and Stromme Foundation both from Norway. CHRISC was registered in Kenya in 2004 as Youth Sports Contact Kenya(YOSC) a non profit, non – political, non denominational a organization promoting sports for all component and providing  sports opportunities for all youth regardless of ability, gender, religion, tribe and race, currently providing sporting opportunities for young people between the ages of 12 – 25yrs.
The organization targets youth from both urban and rural settings in Kenya. Currently the organization is established in 6 Areas in Kenya namely; Nairobi, Eldoret, and Voi. More than 5,475 youth participated in the CHRISC activities.
CHRISC – Kenya is committed to using sports and education as a dialogue tool for sustainable development; the impact on the use of sports cannot be underestimated given the effects in national and international development, this is great influence in role modeling, inspiring hope and future for the young people.
